Set a reorder threshold once
Each item on household inventory has a quantity and a reorder-below line. You pick the line once — two bottles of detergent, one carton of milk, half a bag of rice. Tnylst then flags status: healthy, running low, critical, or empty.
That threshold is the whole pantry reorder reminder. There is no weekly meal calendar to maintain and no recipe graph to feed. When the house actually hits the line, the item needs attention. Multi-person households use the same loop: one person keeps inventory; everyone can help restock from the list.
A pantry reorder reminder that ignores the cupboard under the sink is only half a house. Dish soap, detergent, and paper get the same reorder line as eggs. That is the supporting search: running out of household supplies, not “what’s for dinner.”

Low-stock alerts in Tnylst are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone (the same system alerts as a timer or a calendar reminder). They fire from items that already need attention on the device. We do not claim a cloud push campaign, a marketing drip, or email “you’re out of oat milk” sequences. If you never open the app, we are not sitting on a server watching your pantry.
You can turn alerts off. Sound is optional. This is a reorder reminder for household supplies — including a low stock notification for cleaning supplies — not a meal-plan reminder system. Optional shopping-day reminders (a weekly local ping on the days you already shop) are separate from the low-stock loop; both stay on the device.
Alert → family shopping list
The nudge is useless if it dies in a banner. Tnylst’s next step is the list: what is low goes on a family shopping list from low stock.
